FORT WORTH, TX, November 18-Metrology provider Metris and Sensory Analytics, provider of noncontact coating measurement solutions, announce that Metris will incorporate SpecMetrix coating measurement technologies from Sensory into its iGPS tracking and positioning system.

The iGPS system from Metris is a large-scale metrology solution that helps transform large fabrication facilities into metrology-enabled areas. The addition of the SpecMetrix technology into the innovative iGPS handheld measurement probes will enable aerospace and defense industry manufacturers to quickly and precisely measure a variety of specialty coatings in real time, without the use of templates or time-consuming manual test and measurement methods.

“We are pleased to bring the tremendous benefits of SpecMetrix coating measurement technology together with our breakthrough iGPS inspection and positioning system to benefit the global aerospace industry,” says James Gardner, director of business development for large scale metrology systems at Metris.

“We are excited to be working with Metris to help aerospace manufacturing customers streamline their inspection and coating spray processes and to reduce product costs,” says Greg Frisby, chief executive officer of Sensory Analytics.
