MoreSHANGHAI, CHINA-Provider of training and examinations to NDT personnel SGS has announced that Oliver Sun, tutor for the SGS Non-Destructive Testing Training and Examination Center, has become its fourth tutor to successfully complete the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 3 Certification Program.
ASNT promotes NDT technologies through publishing, certification, research and conferencing. Oliver Sun has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical design and manufacturing with many years of experience in nondestructive testing. The present ASNT certification is a valuable addition to his extensive Chinese Level 3 qualifications.
Sun played an important role in the foundation of the new SGS NDT Training an Examination Center in Shanghai. He joined the director, Jason Scott, to become the first Chinese technical member of the yet to be formed Training & Examination Center team. His contribution was crucial in the design and construction phase of the project.
