MAPLE GROVE, MN — Zeiss Industrial Metrology expands its measuring service and programming expertise with the opening of the new metrology services center in Nashville, TN.

"We continue to invest in new facilities like Nashville to offer a true solution-based approach for local manufacturers. We are excited to expand our local presence by offering contract measuring services, support, training and project management for customers in the Southeast," said Al Chiasson, director of aftermarket and metrology services for Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC.

"We have a lot of customers in the Nashville area and now we're in their backyard, ready to provide local support," said Caitlin Chandler, manager of the Nashville service facility. "Beyond the measuring services, this facility allows us to offer several types of software training, including the different CALYPSO levels, to the very powerful PiWeb reporting software that illustrates the value of metrology on a higher level, connecting machines together to control and organize all quality data."

Zeiss engineers can provide programming, consulting and specialized training at the Nashville location, which houses a wide range of ZEISS measuring technologies. The latest coordinate measuring machines, from the versatile Contura to the Prismo ultra for high-speed scanning and maximum accuracy, are available for almost any requirement. The dedicated Metrotom 800 X-ray-based computed tomography system is perfect for 3D metrology of small, complex, low-density parts made of plastic, composite materials or ceramic. For optical measurements, the O-SELECT digital measuring projector is ideal for easy and reliable measurements of 2D parts, and the O-Inspect system features both optical and contact scanning for reliable 3D accuracy. There are also the latest surface, form and geometry systems to complete the measuring and demonstration capabilities.
