Harness the Power of Your Data Better, Faster, and Easier Than Ever Before

Minitab
July 1, 2019

Data and analytics capabilities have taken center stage in recent years. The volume of available data has grown exponentially with no signs of stopping, while exposure to analytics has steadily improved and become a topic of focus across organizations. The convergence of these trends is fueling the search for all types of business efficiencies and innovation.

Even McKinsey and Company has noted that the looming opportunity can be immense. Harnessing the power of data can help organizations leverage their own insights to differentiate their products and services in-market through innovation, and drive efficiencies with cost optimization strategies.

However, there are challenges ahead for organizations looking to deliver value using data analytics.

  • There’s a continuing shortage of analytical talent. By 2020, the number of jobs for all US data professionals will increase by 364,000 openings to 2,720,000 according to IBM, however only 23% of educators say all American college and university graduates will have data science and analytics skills.

  • Finding the right analytical tools to glean insights from data that can be acted upon can be a complex task. Organizations want tools that are easy-to-use, reliable and supported by technical experts. Complex data analysis tools that are difficult can waste time and hinder teams from delivering value.

Minitab, a global statistical software company, looked to tackle these challenges head on with its latest release, Minitab 19. Jeffrey T. Slovin, Chief Executive Officer of Minitab, LLC said: “For nearly 50 years, Minitab has helped thousands of organizations drive cost containment, enhance quality, boost customer satisfaction and increase effectiveness. With the launch of Minitab® 19, we have created a solution that is better, faster and easier to help users make better data driven decisions.”

New Features Make Minitab® 19 an Even More Powerful Statistical Tool

Minitab® 19 Statistical Software improves on past versions with an abundance of new features and better performance. With Minitab® 19, users can analyze larger data sets quickly, compare results and make better data-driven decisions.

Minitab® 19 also has a new, crisp clean interface making the software easier to use. With familiar application design principles that uses clicks not code and Minitab’s Assistant, a built-in feature that helps guide and troubleshoot any analysis, Minitab is built for both beginners and the most seasoned data scientists and analysts.

For those individuals who are beginning their analytics journey, needing a refresher or helping to onboard new team members, Minitab also offers Quality Trainer, an e-learning course that includes animated lessons, quizzes and hands-on exercises that help easily teach statistics and how to use Minitab.

Available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions with algorithm enhancements, faster imports of documents and more convenient access to automate routine analysis with macros, Minitab® 19 allows users to get accurate results faster.

Mr. Slovin continued: “Minitab is committed to developing best-in-class tools and training to help customers spot trends, solve problems and discover valuable insights in their data with unparalleled ease. Minitab® 19 will set the standard for statistical software, enabling customers to analyze even larger data sets and compare results quicker and easier than ever before.”
