Renscan5 software and the REVO measuring head compose a system for ultra-high-speed scanning in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection of critical and complex parts. The system combines a dynamic, infinite positioning measurement head with 5-axis machine control and a laser-corrected probe to measure at speeds up to 500 millimeters per second. (vs. conventional CMM scanning at 5 to 15 millimeters per second). Renscan5 helps eliminate the measurement errors normally associated with three-axis scanning systems. The five-axis system achieves this by allowing the REVO measuring head to perform most of the motion during inspection routines.
