Data Collection Terminal

The LANpoint 7, an open-architectured data collection terminal, includes the Windows CE operating system running on an Intel X-Scale processor. These AutoID computers are designed for industrial, manufacturing and supply chain applications. Their waterproof, dustproof cases work in dusty, dirty or spray-down environments. The terminals are powered by an Intel XScale 400 megahertz RISC processor, provide nonvolatile storage expandable to 500 megabytes, and have standard Ethernet 10/100BaseT and optional IEEE802.11b/g wireless connectivity. The compact terminals come with an integrated full-size keyboard; various LAN and WAN wireless connectivity options-IEEE802.11b/g11 megabytes per second and 54 megabytes per second LAN or Sierra Wireless EDGE/GPRS/GSM-compatible WAN; a bright ½ VGA LCD display; a wide standard temperature range; and expanding software utilities, like the lock-down (kiosk) Web browser, which can be used to limit Web access to only the approved Web-based application. The terminal is available with touch and non-touch displays.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
