The R.R. Moore rotating beam fatigue system applies flexural stress on materials through failure, and can be used as a hands-on tool to demonstrate the basic principles of fatigue. The durable, low-maintenance system is designed with a variable speed motor that rotates the specimen while the adjustable deadweight applies a flexural stress value chosen by the operator. One revolution of the specimen is equivalent to one cycle of flexural fatigue. The system requires no special installation or power requirements. Available options include a high-temperature furnace and conditioning transformer.
