Freudenberg-NOK Wins Hino Award for Product Quality
PLYMOUTH, MI-Freudenberg-NOK's LaGrange and Cleveland, GA, facilities have received a quality award from Hino Motor Manufacturing USA Inc, a part of the Toyota group of companies, at Hino's annual Quality Excellent Recognition event on April 23. Freudenberg-NOK is a maker of elastomeric seals and custom molded products.
"It's a great honor to be recognized by leading truck manufacturer Hino for our dedication to manufacturing excellence," says Gary VanWambeke and Alban Silarbi, general managers for Freudenberg-NOK's Georgia facilities. "At our facilities, we strive to offer high-quality, technical solutions that exceed our customers' requirements."
According to VanWambeke, "The award is based on the number of parts per million defect as well as on-time delivery." Parts per million is commonly referred to as ppm in the industry and serves as a measurement of good to bad product.
Silarbi, who oversees the LaGrange operation adds, "Quality is not just a word without actions. We ensure superior quality is at the forefront of all our activities and inherent in our processes."
Freudenberg-NOK's Georgia facilities are ISO 9000, QS 9000/2000, TS 16949 and AS 9100 certified. They manufacture elastomer products for several industries, ranging from automotive to aerospace, and have been supplying seals to Hino for three years. The oil seal and o-rings used by Hino ultimately are placed in the Toyota Tundra.
