ROCHESTER, NY-Carestream Health Inc., provider of X-ray products to a variety of industries, has announced that its nondestructive testing solutions group has received certification from the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und–prüfung (BAM) for its innovative Kodak Industrex M100 film.
BAM, also known as the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, is an internationally recognized research and materials testing organization under the German government’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. BAM certification is viewed around the world as an independent statement of quality, and certifications are awarded to select organizations based on rigorous analysis of performance data, random product sampling and periodic on-site manufacturing audits.
Carestream Health’s line of industrial X-ray films are used to detect variations in structure, weld quality, corrosion, measure minute changes in surface finish, detect the presence of cracks or other physical discontinuities, and determine other characteristics of industrial products.
