SOUTHFIELD, MI. -- Plante & Moran PLLC, a certified public accounting and management consulting firm specializing in technology consulting for businesses, today announced a strategic alliance relationship with Plexus Systems Inc., providers of Plexus Online on-demand software for the manufacturing enterprise. The relationship will propel Plexus’ reach into the U.S. manufacturing industry, specifically Great Lakes area customers that need implementation support and specialized services.

“Plante & Moran is pleased to form this alliance relationship with Plexus as we believe its solutions are truly impacting the supply chain and helping to improve business processes around the globe,” said Doug Wiescinski Partner in Management Consulting at Plante & Moran. “Plexus’ deep industry and vertical focus will benefit our customers as they strive to streamline their operations.”

Under the alliance agreement, Plante & Moran will provide implementation services for Plexus Online, which provides 350 modules of functionality for precision manufacturing, such as automotive, medical device, aerospace and defense. Plante & Moran, which is already consulting with several Plexus clients, will help implement Plexus Online an on-demand solution based on a “Software as a Service” model.

Many manufacturing companies in the automotive industry today are striving to lower production costs, yet speed up their supply chains. Plexus and Plante & Moran stand to offer such companies innovative solutions that can lead to great realization of savings.

Founded in 1924, Plante & Moran is the 11th largest certified public accounting and management consulting firm in the United States. Headquartered in Michigan, the company focuses on vertical markets in the United States and Japan helping companies resolve technology and operational issues. Its industry focus and business ideals make the company a natural partner for Plexus. Plante & Moran has historically provided a wide variety of information technology consulting services to manufacturing clients including IT Assessment, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software selection, and management of ERP implementations. Though each of these offerings will continue, we will be expanding our role in ERP implementations to satisfy clients’ full needs – the ERP software knowledge in addition to the project management competency.
