Malaysia's Manufacturing Competence Recognized

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA-Seven Malaysian manufacturing companies were recognized through an assessment-based awards program administered by consulting company Frost & Sullivan. The 2009 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Manufacturing Excellence Awards recognized companies from process, automobile, healthcare and engineering industries. The awards banquet was co-held, at the Shangri-la, Kuala Lumpur, with the 2009 Frost & Sullivan South East Asia Industrial Technologies Awards.

The annual awards program heralds a fresh avenue for Malaysia’s manufacturing sector as companies get their capabilities benchmarked and assessed to know their domestic and global competitiveness.

The awards are a part of the larger Asia Manufacturing Excellence Awards program. With a mission to create an annual opportunity for manufacturing establishments to put their manufacturing capabilities on a health check, this awards program helps companies keep their manufacturing capabilities lean, innovative and world class.

The recipients of the Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Manufacturing Awards:

  • Process: Southern Lion Sdn. Bhd

  • Healthcare: Pharmaniaga Manufacturing Bhd.

  • Engineering: Universal Cable Berhad

  • Automobile: Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional

  • Automobile: Motosikal Dan Enjin Nasional Gurun-Sdn. Bhd.

  • Healthcare: Y.S.P. Industries Sdn. Bhd.

  • Automobile: Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn. Bhd.
