OES Receives Award from Delphi
LONDON, ONTARIO, May 7-OES Inc., designer and manufacture of electronic control products and solutions, has been awarded Delphi’s 2008 Technology Pinnacle Award. The citation recognizes OES “for their ability to view problems as opportunities, focus their creative resources on innovation and successfully bring new ideas to market.”
Delphi Corp. is a supplier of mobile electronics and transportation systems to the automotive industry. OES works with Delphi predominantly in the area of electrical wire harness manufacturing.
“The main focus of our most recent development work with Delphi involves our technology for small gage wire processing applications, specifically our new patent pending PBT Sensor, and our leading strip and seal inspection technology, the patented LPA56B WireScan,” says Michael Reeve, vice president of strategic business development for OES. “The challenge of processing small gage conductors looms before the entire industry, as vehicle manufacturers increase the number of electrical features within the automobile while pursuing automobile weight reduction strategies. We are pleased to be recognized by Delphi for our contribution to their manufacturing solutions.”
Paul Hogendoorn, president of OES went on to say, “We are thrilled to receive this award in the first year that Delphi is presenting the Technology Pinnacle Award. OES is especially proud to be one of only two recipients for this prestigious award worldwide.”
As an award recipient, Delphi honored OES for having met or exceeded its requirements for recognition in a number of categories: quality and capability, technology development, innovation, as well as parameters related to commercialization.
