Creaform Announces Strong Mid-Year Results

LEVIS, CANADA-Creaform, developer and manufacturer of handheld laser scanners and portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), has unveiled its results for the first half of 2009.

In Asia, Creaform Shanghai reports a quarter 1 and quarter 2 year-over-year growth of 505%, while the Japanese subsidiary managed to double its first semester sales from 2008 to 2009.

Overall, the company achieved a year-over-year growth of 25% for the first semester of 2009, and the number of Handyscan 3D scanners units sold also rose 22% compared to the same period last year. Creaform also reveals very good mid-year results for its 3D engineering services, results that are in line with the target numbers for 2009.

The company has also been successful at expanding its Handyscan 3D and HandyPROBE technologies worldwide distribution network-with an average of one new distributor signed every week.
