Transcat Acquires CMC Instrument Services
ROCHESTER< NY- Transcat Inc., a calibration and repair services company, has purchased the also-Rochester-based CMC Instrument Services Inc.
Terms were not disclosed.
“Our strategy is to grow our calibration and repair services business both organically and through acquisitions by targeting our current geographic markets where we can consolidate services and gain scale or that extend our geographic reach,” said Charles Hadeed, Transcat president, CEO and chief operating officer, in a statement.
The CMC purchase follows a series of purchases the Transcat made last year, such as United Scale & Engineering Corp. in Wisconsin and the calibration and repair services business of ACA TMetrix Inc., an Ontario, Canada firm.
In addition to offering calibration services, Transcat also distributes professional grade handheld test and measurement instruments.
