MANCHESTER, CT--- Lydall, Inc. announces that David H. Williams, 47, has been appointed president of its performance materials business, effective July 16, 2012.

Before joining Lydall, Mr. Williams enjoyed a 20-year tenure with Saint-Gobain, a building materials company and leading producer of high performance materials and glass containers. During his time with Saint-Gobain, Williams was the General Manager -- Foams for Saint-Gobain's Performance Plastics Group where he managed a global specialty foams business serving automotive, industrial and medical markets with operations in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. Most recently, Williams served as Saint-Gobain's General Manager -- Films, a global specialty films and tapes business serving the aerospace, electronics, energy, construction, life sciences and industrial markets.
