Additive Assurance Signs Distribution Agreement with NTT DATA XAM Technologies to Launch AMiRIS Real-Time Quality Assurance in Japan

Additive Assurance, a provider of quality assurance solutions for metal powder bed fusion, has entered a domestic distributorship agreement with NTT DATA XAM Technologies Corp. (XAM) to launch its real-time quality assurance solution, AMiRIS, in the Japanese market. Through this agreement, Additive Assurance aims to resolve quality assurance and mass production challenges in the Japanese metal powder bed fusion market by leveraging XAM's well established technical capabilities.
In recent years, the adoption of metal 3D printers has expanded across the aerospace, automotive, and medical device fields, shifting from prototyping to mass production. However, mass production presents several challenges, including variations in build quality, difficulties in quality assurance processes, and Difficulties in securing traceability.
To address these challenges, there is an increasing demand for technology that monitors the build status in real-time. Additive Assurance has partnered with XAM due to their specialized capabilities and track record in the Japanese metal additive manufacturing industry.
XAM will provide comprehensive local services to ensure successful implementation and operations for Japanese manufacturers:
• Technical Support and Implementation: Utilizing knowledge accumulated in the metal additive manufacturing field, XAM will handle product sales, implementation support, and technical maintenance.
• Integration with Existing Solutions: XAM will deliver maximum value by linking AMiRIS with their existing metal additive manufacturing solutions, including EOS and AMCM systems.
• Data-Driven Manufacturing: XAM and Additive Assurance will support customers in utilizing build data to establish a stable manufacturing foundation and promote digital transformation (DX).
