Robert Brown

Robert Brown is the Global Head of Automotive at BSI, bringing over 30 years of industry experience and international recognition as an expert in Automotive Quality Management Systems and Lean manufacturing. His career includes six years with SMMT, where he deployed Lean Manufacturing in the automotive supply chain with Honda, Nissan, and Toyota, followed by twelve years as IATF Oversight Manager, leading the implementation and management of the IATF 16949 Automotive scheme. Robert represents BSI at the IATF group, providing subject matter expertise and supporting the deployment of IATF initiatives within BSI and the wider automotive supply chain, particularly in areas such as Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) and electric charging infrastructure. He is instrumental in driving BSI’s automotive strategy, collaborating with leading industry bodies to provide thought leadership on innovations ranging from battery technology to the broader mobility CASE agenda.
