Ken Racen

Ken Racen is the founder and CEO of the Metrology Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing measurement science through technical education, professional certification, and workforce development. With more than 45 years in metrology, quality systems, and laboratory operations, he has held leadership roles at industry-leading organizations and helped build one of the Midwest’s premier commercial calibration laboratories. He developed METNAVTM, a metrology software platform that strengthens process control, data integrity, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 compliance in calibration labs, and MetTutorTM, a training platform designed to develop the next generation of measurement professionals. An author of several technical handbooks and whitepapers, Racen holds an MBA in Information Technology and Business and credentials as an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), and Lean Six Sigma Specialist, with additional training through NIST and NVLAP.
