The American Society for Quality (ASQ, Milwaukee) joined the 2005 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipients, including ASQ members Richland College, Dallas; Sunny Fresh Foods, Monticello, MN; and DynMcDermott, New Orleans; at an awards presentation April 19, at the Hilton Washington. Vice president Dick Cheney presented the awards to the recognized organizations during the ceremony. ASQ also hosted the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Foundation evening reception for the award recipients and the many hundreds of volunteers, government officials and ASQ members involved in the annual process. ASQ has been the sole administrator of the Baldrige Award since 1991.
