CHASKA, MN-Dr. Gary Jing, who manages the Six Sigma program at Minnesota-based Entegris, was named a Fellow of American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Jing received Fellow membership status for contributions in science and technology, especially reliability and Six Sigma, through more than 20 publications and patents; for recognition as an outstanding researcher by the U.S. government and in China; for promoting quality and excellence through teaching and execution worldwide; and for exemplary leadership in and contribution to ASQ Minnesota Section 1203.

Jing is heavily involved and well recognized in the Six Sigma community. He is frequently invited to speak about Lean Six Sigma at conferences and write articles for publications. He serves on Editorial Review Board for Six Sigma Forum Magazine and frequently involved in exam question writing or curriculum review for ASQ certifications, or paper review for ASQ publications and conferences. He has served as board members at several professional associations and served on evaluator / judge panels for several state and national awards and competitions, including MN Quality Award (State Baldrige Award) and ASQ International Team Excellence Award.
