KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA-Seven Malaysian manufacturing companies were recognized through an assessment-based awards program administered by consulting company Frost & Sullivan. The 2009 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Manufacturing Excellence Awards recognized companies from process, automobile, healthcare and engineering industries. The awards banquet was co-held, at the Shangri-la, Kuala Lumpur, with the 2009 Frost & Sullivan South East Asia Industrial Technologies Awards.

The annual awards program heralds a fresh avenue for Malaysia’s manufacturing sector as companies get their capabilities benchmarked and assessed to know their domestic and global competitiveness.

The awards are a part of the larger Asia Manufacturing Excellence Awards program. With a mission to create an annual opportunity for manufacturing establishments to put their manufacturing capabilities on a health check, this awards program helps companies keep their manufacturing capabilities lean, innovative and world class.
