PRICE GEORGE COUNTY, MA-The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) will host a groundbreaking ceremony in Price George County. The event signals the start of construction for a 50,000-square-foot research facility that brings together manufacturing researchers from Virginia universities and global manufacturing companies.

Additionally, CCAM will announce its organizing industry members and unveil renderings of the facility for the first time. The OIM companies represent global manufacturing leaders and their involvement in CCAM underscores the collaborative project’s significance to the industry and to the Commonwealth. Founding members include:

  • Bob McDonnell, governor of Virginia;

  • David Lohr, President and Executive Director, CCAM;

  • Dr. Teresa Sullivan, President, University of Virginia;

  • Dr. Charles Steger, President, Virginia Tech;

  • Dr. Keith Miller, President, Virginia State University; and

  • Executives from CCAM’s member companies.

    The governor, CCAM’s executive director, university presidents and member company executives will be available for interviews.
