VDM28 distance measurement sensors with pulse ranging technology (PRT) provide distance measurements from 200 millimeters up to 8 meters with repeatable accuracy of less than 5 millimeters, with resolution of 1 millimeter and response time as fast as 10 milliseconds, regardless of target surface. At 88 millimeters by 26 millimeters by 54 millimeters, the compact PRT-based sensors have a visible red laser light source with a small, well-defined light spot for quick, accurate alignment. These sensors offer a one-touch teach process, are immune to cross-talk and provide reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -22 F to 122 F.
