Exova Metech, the calibration and metrology division of Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has signed a new contract with the leading defense and security company Saab, worth up to £20 million over five years. The agreement, which came into effect on April 1, 2014, is an extension of the previous long-term agreement in which Exova Metech was selected as Saab’s preferred supplier in the field of calibration and metrology.

The contract further confirms Exova Metech’s position as one of the leading providers of technically demanding services to the defense and technology industries. Exova Metech will provide services that include calibration and maintenance of measurement tools and instruments. The initial work will take place mainly in Sweden; however, as the contract denotes global services, there are plans for a rollout beyond Sweden as well.
