Why a Centralized Quality Hub Matters

A centralized quality hub should help organizations to oversee, examine, and report on data and processes from unrelated data sources in real time, creating a comprehensive vision of operations.

Quality equals reliability. The best way to attain it is through a centralized quality hub. Manufacturers can get into trouble when their quality efforts are de-centralized. Although their quality standards might be iron clad, inspection and data analysis can vary across multiple business units or locations.

These disparities can eventually lead to fissures in their quality processes.

A centralized quality solution, however, delivers successful document control, a trustworthy audit trail, and easy access to metrics — all leading to better quality.

An enterprise-wide quality solution such as this leads to operational excellence. It keeps all parties on the same page, enabling organizations to operate nimbly and effectively.

Experts say that a consolidated hub of all related quality data enables manufacturers to achieve total quality management. It creates a holistic view of quality, helping manufacturers to see better see current problems and the potential for future errors.

To centralize quality, manufacturers must consolidate their quality data into a single, accessible repository, AKA an enterprise quality hub. This source can help organizations to easily drive product quality across the supply chain and throughout the lifecycle of their products.

A centralized quality hub should help organizations to oversee, examine, and report on data and processes from unrelated data sources in real time, creating a comprehensive vision of operations. With that information in one location, organizations can easily gain insights and make decisions.

A company’s suppliers can even engage with this hub, giving them real-time information about a lot’s quality and a view of current process states and any quality issues.

The hub is ideally user friendly for all team members, including engineers. While they may not be able to use it with as much ease as a designated operator, an engineer or any team member should be able to use the system to assess quality data and make necessary comparisons.
