Today’s software systems are advancing faster than any other time in history. Each is going in different directions. The competition is not necessarily with the software company that creates and sells a specific software such as a calibration or quality management solution—the real differences are the platforms behind the scenes. 

The trade show is focused exclusively on metrology equipment and systems used for assuring and improving manufacturing quality.

The process of analyzing gage variability is often highly structured, involving an examination of the gages themselves for sensitivity to temperature changes, magnetic fields, and other factors. These are the easy ones. The second area of variability has its source in gage operators themselves, who may have different levels of training, experience, fatigue, and even attitude. 

You hear a lot about Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) today, but less about its practical deployment and utilization in the manufacturing and inspection process.
