TÜVRheinland Further Expands Services to Medical Device Manufacturers

NEWTOWN, CT, November 7-Testing, assessment and certification provider TÜVRheinland has expanded its scope of accreditation for CB Scheme medical device testing to include the IEC 60601-1, 3rd edition, Medical Electrical Equipment – General Safety Requirements. TÜVRheinland has been offering CB Scheme testing of medical devices since March 2007.

CB Scheme testing for IEC 60601-1, 3rd edition is the latest in TÜVRheinland’s portfolio of services, and positions the company as an international regulatory partner for the medical device industry. CB Scheme focuses on the safety of electrical and electronic components, equipment and products. CB Scheme certification provides manufacturers with mutual test data acceptance in 50 countries across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
