PROVIDENCE, RI — Mahr Federal named Stuart Manser as director of sales, precision gages for North America.

Reporting directly to Mahr Federal CEO Tony Picone, Manser will be responsible for planning and directing the sales team for the Precision Gage product line, including defining sales territory and hiring sales staff. He will work in conjunction with the director of sales, metrology systems for North America, and participate in global sales strategy meetings.

"Stuart is an experienced sales management professional with more than 20 years of solid performance, providing measurement and control solutions to multiple industrial sectors in Europe, Americas and Asia," said Tony Picone. "He is known for working closely with customers and building high performance sales teams by hiring, developing and motivating talented professionals. We're happy to welcome him to our Mahr Federal team."

Manser was most recently regional sales and channel manager for NDC Technologies, non-contact measurement and control systems. Previously he worked for Beta LaserMike Europe as general manager, then U.S. West Coast regional sales and channel manager and eventually Asia sales director. He started his sales career with a former Mahr distributor for the U.K. and Ireland as technical sales manager. Stuart also held the position of engineering metrologist while working at Rolls-Royce PLC Aero ngine division.

Stuart attended West Herts College and St. Albans College in the U.K., studying mechanical and production engineering. He and his wife Miranda have three children and while their spare time is generally filled with age-group swimming competitions, Stuart hopes to rekindle his passion for sailing upon relocation to Rhode Island.
